Camel Safari Tour Experience in India

Rajasthan or the “Land of the Kings” is India’s biggest desert and is a state that boasts of a rich history and culture like many other states in the country. With India’s oldest mountain range or the Aravalli Range as the backdrop, you will witness spectacular sand dunes and watch lovely birds in the wetlands. There are lush green forests amidst the deserts where you can go for tiger trails as well.

Rajasthan attracts people not only from India but also from rest of the world. Be it’s natural beauty or is rich history and culture, there is a lot to explore in this north western state of India. The best way to explore Rajasthan is by living the life of a nomad and going around the state on the back of camels and live in the tents. The journey is adventurous and fun and you will get to experience something new that you would stay in your memories of many years to come. Though the state is full of tourists all throughout the year and hence, there is nothing as ‘best time to visit’ Rajasthan. But if you are not accustomed with the summers of India, Rajasthan summers can be uncomfortable for you. The days are extremely hot though the temperature dips during the night. For such people monsoon and winters are the best time as at that time Rajasthan is at her climatic best. Also, during this time, most of the fairs and festivals take place.

Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi

You arrive at the Delhi airport and meet our representatives. You are transferred to your hotel where you relax and spend some leisure time. Sumptuous dinner is served and you take rest for the rest of the night as a very busy schedule awaits.


Day 2 : Delhi – Jaisalmer

After having a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we take you for a tour to both Old Delhi and New Delhi. Delhi is a beautiful city with a rich history and offers a lot for its visitors and you spent the second day of your trip in touring this beautiful city. You visit Qutab Minar, India Gate and the President’s Palace. Delhi has many typical British-colonial styled bungalows that are many years old and tree-lined avenues. There is also the Parliament House, the Vice Regal Palace and the War Memorial Arch. After that you visit Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat in Old Delhi. Raj Ghat is the place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. As you are driven back to the hotel, you will cross the Red Fort where you will have the opportunity to clicking some pictures as well. You return to your hotel in the afternoon and relax for the rest of the day. Later you are transferred to the railway station for your connection train to Jaisalmer.

Day 3 : Arrival in Jaisalmer

You reach Jaisalmer in the morning where our representative meets you and takes you to your hotel. You freshen up in your hotel and then you tour the city of Jaisalmer and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 4 : Jaisalmer - Ramdevra – Biramdevra (your camel safari begins)

Early in the next morning after breakfast in your hotel, we ride to Ramdevra which is 160 km away and halt here for lunch. After lunch, we proceed to a village named Eka about 10 km away and stay overnight at the camps.

Day 5 : Biramdevra - Modon ki Dhani (camel safari)

Early in the next morning we proceed to a village named Modon ki Dhani that is also about 10 km away and halt their for lunch. After that, we ride to a village named Kinchan that is 12 km away and stay at camps for the night.

Day 6 : Modon ki Dhani - Lordia – Jambha (camel safari)

In the morning, we begin our camel safari towards to Lordia, a village 12 km away. We have lunch and then ride to another village located 12 km away named Jambha. Have dinner and stay at the camps for the night.


Day 7 : Jambha - Ajasar – Ahu (on camels)

We continue our journey on camel back on the next morning and proceed to Ajasar, about 10 km from Jambha. We halt for lunch and then ride to a new village named Ahu, 8 km from Ajasar. Stay at the camps for the night.

Day 8 : Ahu - Anopsar - Gantiyali (Camel Safari)

Early in the next morning, after having our breakfasts, we proceed towards Anopsar that is located 14 km away and halt for lunch. Later proceed to Gantiyali (about 8 km) and stay there for the night in camps.

Day 9 : Gantiyali - Bungri - Chakhu (Camel Safari)

We continue our journey on camel back on the next morning and proceed to Bungri after breakfast. We ride 12 km. We have lunch in that village and then proceed to Chakhu, another village and that would be a 10 km journey. We stay at the camps for the night.


Day 10 : Chakhu - Ruina - Chimana (Camel Safari)

Early in the next morning, after having our breakfasts, we proceed towards Riuna from Chakhu located 10 km away. We halt for lunch and then ride to a new village named Chimana that is 8 km away. Have dinner and stay at the camps for the night.

Day 11 : Chimana - Beldaron ki Dhani - Deshnok - Bikaner

Early in the next morning we start out for a village named Beldaron ki Dhani that is 12 km away and then from there we go to Deshnok that about 10 km away. Then we drive to Bikaner which is at a distance of 35 km. we check-in at the hotel and relax. Camel safari is fun but at the same time tiring. You spend some leisure time in your hotel where we stay for the night.

Day 12 : Bikaner

You rest in the morning and then in afternoon, we take you for a tour of the Bikaner city. Bikaner is a big city and you will love touring the city a lot. You get back to your hotel and stay for the night.

Day 13 : Bikaner - Jaipur

Early the next morning, you take the train to Jaipur and on reaching Jaipur, our representatives transfer you to the hotel where you stay for the night. You tour city in the afternoon and there is a lot to see in Jaipur as well. You can also buy handicraft products from here that you can take back as souvenirs and buy a lot of other things as well.

Day 13 : Jaipur - Delhi

Early in the next morning, we start off for Delhi on road and on the way visit the Amber Fort. There you can enjoy an elephant ride to reach on top the fort and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surroundings. Then we continue our drive back to Delhi and you reach Delhi just in time for your international flight.
